Sunday Best and Why I am Walking Like the Tin Man

A picture is worth 1,000 words, yet these pictures do not mention several hundred more words. I will explain:

1. It was hot. It was 98º and rising when I shot these photos outside the UFW’s 40 Acres (my backyard).

2. I used my tripod and the legs kept slipping; annoying.

3. I bought the skirt at Goodwill in San Jose for $6. It’s comfortable and I like the cotton piping over the tulle overlay.

4. I bought the Michael Antonio Lux shoes with Nikia of Chitown Fashionista while shopping at Lori’s Shoes in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood (2 weeks ago).

5. Those tire tracks you see are the result of cars turning donuts in the parking lot of the UFW EVERY NIGHT around 11:30 pm.

6. I was moving like the Tin Man. I recently signed up for “Fit Body Bootcamp” and my trainer, Jose, basically wants to kill me. My first day was Thursday and I’m still grunting and moaning (but I like it).

How is your summer?
