SURPRISE! Hello! Hi! Bonjour! *Happy Dance*
So. I thought I’d be able to handle a blog, moving, a new job, planning a wedding, and other things—I was wrong.
At any rate, I’m here today. I attempted to update every so often on the Facebook page, but I knew I had to get back to the blog as soon as possible.
As you might have read (via Facebook) I got married on September 8! I am so glad wedding planning is over. I’m not the planning type, and yes, several times I understood why people run off and get married in Las Vegas. Thankfully we had stellar friends and family that he helped us plan our wedding day; I’ll blog about a couple wedding clothing details (my dress, bridesmaids’ attire) a little later this week.
Last night was my first church service as Mrs. Leonardo. I am so excited that an awesome church was a part of this whole marriage thing. I went to the same church from 8 days old until Julyish and I was little bit sad that I had to start over—join new ministries, make new friends, and all that jazz.
I haven’t organized my closets in our new house yet. I have all of my clothes, shoes, and accessories in boxes. It’s not a pretty sight. I’ve always been a fan of peplum, and the peplum blouses and tops I already own are vintage. Peplum became “trendy” again, so if you’re a fan of peplum styles you can find them wherever you shop. I found this peplum zip up top at Marshall’s. It’s by Valerie Bertinelli and was $25. The polka dot skirt is by Babeau and is from Nordstrom. Babeau brand—love them. I discovered the skirt while roaming through Nordstrom on the search for wedding shoes. Babeau makes comfy cotton knit separates and I became a fan after feeling the material. Three weeks ago I went to the Alameda Antique Faire to find décor for the wedding, and on the way out I saw this old leather attaché/briefcase looking thing and bought it for $5. The shoes are old. I had them in my TO GOODWILL box, but I had to yank them out because I couldn’t find another pair of shoes to wear. Ha!
What’s your take on peplum accented blouses and blazers?Yes, no?
Congats! You look beautiful! I love this outfit, it’s so fun, in a streamlined sort of way.
Congratulations! I was missing your posts last week and saw that your wedding date was the 8th, then I knew you weren’t missing us
Many happy years to you.

I’m totally into the peplum trend. I’ll be on it when it’s not a trend anymore (^_^). I made a peplum top a few weeks ago and posted the vid on my blog. I want to make a skirt next. I look forward to the wedding posts with pics etc.
Congrats!!! Your wedding dress was beautiful and I can’t wait to read all the details!
Love the skirt above and I’ve had visions of peplum shirts and pencil skirts dancing in my head for some time– can’t wait to try the combo.
You look beautiful! I can’t wait to see wedding photos, I know you were an especially beautiful bride.
I love peplums, I did back in the early 90′s and I’m glad they’re back. I have been looking for one.
Hugs, Cindy
