I’ve had this blazer hanging in my closet ever since I purchased it off of one of Target’s clearance racks back in late October. It might look familiar because I wore a dress with the  same print here.

In my mind I kept thinking that I wanted to wear it with a navy dress, but I ended up wearing it with a black skirt. I wanted to leave the blazer opened, but the camisole I had on underneath was too low. I threw this faux fur stole on as a last minute remedy.

For the past week or so Brandon has been walking around with a knowing smile on his face. He kept asking, “Do you want to know what you’re doing for your birthday?” Of course I said yes, and of course his reply was, “Well, I can’t tell you until your birthday!” (My birthday is this Wednesday.) He did reveal that the present involved Virgin America, so I knew we were flying somewhere–I just didn’t know where! He couldn’t contain himself anymore and on Friday evening he made me play Hangman to reveal our destination. After I guessed the letter “e” on the first try, I knew exactly where we were going!

I’m excited! Brandon is so  thoughtful; he has one day scheduled to allow me to indulge in as much thrifting/vintage shopping as I possibly can while we’re in Seattle. If you live in Seattle (or if you’ve been), you’ve gotta let me know some secret non-touristy places to check out!

I’m wearing: Phillip Lim for Target Leopard Blazer (sold out), Faux leather paneled skirt from ASOS, black opaque tights from Target, black heels from Forever 21, a vintage clutch purse, and a faux fur stole from ASOS (pink version here, blue sold out).

I am so excited for you! happy Bday in advance, you have a very sweet husband!
I love your blog! It is pretty funny because 2 years ago, I ran across it, and your fab sense of style was undeniable but I was like “I am not ready to only wear skirts and dresses, NO WAY! I want to be VERSATILE” !

Well, fast forward 2 years later, the Lord had to make me do some soul searching about the issue of modesty, and I only wear skirts and dresses and try to rock it like you! No one said we had to dress in a sack of potatoes because we just wear that! lol
I am a 30 year old mom to 4 boys, and I enjoy being the lady of the house and I love how modest and feminine I look in skirts and dresses. My husband honors me for that as well.. And I discovered how fab vintage dresses and skirts are!
So, I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know your blog is not just a “blog”. It is your ministry, and you might not even be aware of how God is working into the lives of other women through you.

Stay blessed and keep doing what you are doing!
