About the blog:

MoMoMod challenges the idea that less clothing is more attractive and that style must be compromised in order to be modest. Stylish, fabulous, and modest—it’s possible.

About the blogger:

Oh, hello! I’m Chandra. I am a 7th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher by day and a wanna be blogging and social media machine by night. As a former college student who worked three jobs (yes, at once), I know how to cut corners when it comes to saving money and scoring clothes that are affordable and modest. I am an Apostolic Pentecostal; you can read about why I choose to dress modestly here.

  • I love your blog and the idea behind it!

One design thing that drives me crazy, though, is that I have to click on every single post to see what you’re wearing! I know how lazy that sounds, but sometimes it makes all the difference between visiting a website: making it easier for your reader to scroll through means that something’s more likely to catch eyeballs.

You have good stuff–I want more people to see it!

  • I LOVE your blog! I just found it through the giveaway and I am so excited to see another Pentecostal blogging :) I only know of one other so now you are make two. I would love to email you but I didn’t see any email info anywhere.

I love your style too, I feel like I need to be more stylish :)

Oh my goodness. You have no idea how happy I am to have stumbled across this blog.
My religion also dictates modest dress and sometimes I get to stuck in a jeans and shirt kind of rut – but I’m getting a lot of inspiration from your blog. Love it! :)

  • HELLO! I am a fellow Apostolic and I must say this: I am so very happy to have found your blog! In the midst of jeans and low cut tops your skirts and dresses are a breath of fresh air! I hope to see more of your amazing outfits. Have a good night and God Bless!

I just stumbled on your blog and am soo happy!!! :) I usually don’t comment on stuff but when I saw your page for links to modest skirts I had to let you know this is appreciated! I recently felt the holy spirit telling me to dress modestly and I keep ending up looking like a frumpy old mom, (I’m 18 and am a mom lol) but seeing this blog I will try my hardest to look fashionable and bring glory to God ;) thanks for your blog! God bless!!

I love your style and blog. I have a bit of a question/request…I love fashion, but lately I have noticed that I shop much too often and own an excessive amount of clothing, shoes, etc. I really feel God calling me to shed that excess, but am having trouble shrinking my closet. I’ve heard of capsule wardrobes and think it’s an interesting idea, but have not found one that takes into account modesty/skirts only fashion. I would really appreciate any tips or examples if you’ve seen any. Thanks for all the great advice :)

Hi Kat! What a great idea for a blog post/challenge. I, too, have been thinking about my “excess”. It’s so easy to assume that “modesty” is only about clothing, but a modest lifestyle is one that refrains from indulging in all aspects of life. I get rid of things all the time, but I always begin to wonder how I can change so that I’m not constantly giving/replenishing. I came across this blog post http://theproject333.com/how-to-build-a-capsule-wardrobe/, and I’m wondering if you can use it to get the ball rolling for your own capsule wardrobe. I’m going to do some more research on the subject; it’d be great to modify it for a modest wardrobe. Thanks for reaching out to me.

  • I just found your blog and I like the concept! I agree style does not have to be compromised to be modest! I love the some of the dresses that Mindy from The Mindy Project wears and Jess from New Girl wears.

:) I love many of the things Mindy and Jess wear, too! Have you seen the Tumblr accounts dedicated to the items they wear? I love to scope out the dresses and skirts they wear!
